Twin Anxiety

I ain't scared of no babies! I have many friends who would laugh at that remark because they saw me get really scared of babies--at least of the first one, the one that comes with no owner's manual.  Vivian Mahlab, Bobby Nelson, Kathy DuBose--they all saw me panic at one time or another.

But I'm experienced now.  I do not, however, know anything about twins.  In the immediate process of caring for them, I've experienced the normal stuff x 2.  Particularly, I lost count of the number of times twin 2 caught me in the middle of changing the diaper of twin 1 with a similar request.

This last year, their mother put the twins in separate preschool classrooms, which sounds like a good idea to me.

In the summer, my wife and I keep each of our grandkids for a week or so until they get to the age that they find hanging out with geezers intolerable.  We are headed into the second week with Taylor, who is half of a set of twins.

I wondered how Taylor would deal with being separated from her twin brother for an extended period of time.  I know now that she remains Ms. Personality and she's only mentioned him a couple of times in the context of what he would think of this or that.

At the age of 4, she has no separation anxiety.

No judgments about this.  I'm just reporting.

And I ain't scared of no babies!
