I guess I should explain why I'm on a bunch of Repug mailing lists while complaining that it's bad for my blood pressure. When I was teaching at Indiana University and living in Bloomington, my son got shipped to Iraq, and I had lots of reason to lobby over foreign policy.
To my surprise, I had much better luck with the Republican Dick Lugar than with the Blue Dog Democrat Evan Bayh. Of course, I did not not know that Lugar was putting me on all kinds of lists, but being on them has been quite an education.
I do consider Lugar a civilized Republican, and I was pretty gobsmacked when the Tea Party ousted him in favor of one of the guys who hates abortion so much that he loves rape.
Anyway, I've worked in the political game most of my life, so I understand cherry picking facts and I understand talking points. But, boy howdy, these people have no shame.
Count the lies in this email, and never mind the misspellings.
I guess I should be doing a happy dance, because there's no way to gain advantage from describing a terrible rainstorm on a sunshiny day. People do have eyes.
I'm just sad that somebody thinks this would work. I guess I'm beyond being shocked that they don't care whether it's true. What you see below the fleur de kos is cut and pasted pure GOP manure. Roll up your pants legs--it's too late to save the shoes.
